Maple Grove Area Rider Wins Mountain Bike Series

Lucas Hieb never finished lower than second place in a race this season.

Lucas Hieb finished in front of the pack in the Minnesota High School Cycling League racing series. 

Hieb, who’s with the Osseo Maple Grove High School Mountain Bike Team, finished second for varsity boys on Oct. 27 in Mankato, the last race of the season. In five races, Hieb collected 2244 points. He took home the highest honor of the season over second and third place riders from Roseville:  Ethan Furois (2143 points) and Colin Catlin (2082 points).

Hieb has never finished lower than second place in a race this season. He logged the following finishes this year:
