Osseo Area Schools Kidstop, Cosmic Club Program Partners with U of M to Collect Sports Equipments

More than 1,300 pieces of equipment were donated to the Sports Gift organization by summer students at Weaver Lake Elementary.

Students participating in the summer Kidstop and Cosmic Club program at Weaver Lake Elementary in the Osseo School District partnered wit the University of Minnesota Gophers to collect sports equipment.

The group collected 1,343 pieces of equipment to donate to California-based Sports Gift, an organization that donates sports equipment to less fortunate children internationally.

A bake sale by the students in the Cosmic Club raised an additional $630 to donate to the organization.

Approximately 280 students in the Weaver Lake Elementary Kidstop and Cosmic Club kids program participated in the nearly month-long collection.
