OfficeMax Makes The Day Better for Two Osseo Teachers

Cedar Island Elementary first grade teacher Debbi Anderson and Osseo Junior High's Ann Hollencamp were honored for their work with students.

OfficeMax surprised two Osseo Area Schools teachers Tuesday as part of its annual “A Day Made Better” campaign.

The program aims to erase teacher-funded classrooms by supplying more than 1,000 teachers with more than $1,000 in school supplies.

Cedar Island Elementary first grade teacher Debbi Anderson was honored for her more than 30 years of teaching. Osseo Area School Resource Manager Deb Lindahl nominated Anderson for “her countless hours of extra effort and a constant willingness to ensure that each child learns and has the tools needed to do so,” according to a news release.”

Osseo Junior High Principal Brian Chance nominated Ann Hollencamp for “her tireless dedication to her students.” Hollencamp is involved in the school’s positive behavior intervention framework and helped establish a building-wide recognition program to support students who show positive behaviors.

The supplies they received include items for students—such as pens and pencils—as well as items for the teachers and classroom—such as an office chair, laminator, Kindle Fire and digital camera. OfficeMax also donated another $1,000 worth of supplies to each of the teachers’ schools.
