The new locally owned business opened Dec. 1 and will be having a grand opening celebration Dec. 8.
Located in the Grove Shopping Center between Maple Grove Hospital and Super Target, a new business - Daily Dose Café and Espresso – opened Dec. 1. Maple Grove resident Benjamin Haven and Golden Valley resident Curtis Medina own the business, which has eight employees. “Curt and I are extremely excited to open our very own cafe and coffee shop in Maple Grove. Construction has started at the vacant storefront at Bass Lake Center in Maple Grove.
CorePower Yoga will reportedly be filling in a portion of the formers Snyder Drug storefront at Bass Lake Center, located at Bass Lake Road and Sycamore Lane in Maple Grove. Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq announced on its website Aug. 15 that CoreYoga signed a lease for that the new yoga facility. A new Goodwill store is being built near the intersection of Interstate 94 and Weaver Lake Road in Maple Grove. The 20,600-square foot store will be Goodwill’s second in Maple Grove. “Goodwill is expanding its footprint in the Twin Cities as the need for its services and offerings grows,” said Joe Ryan, president of Oppidan Investment Company. “We’re very pleased to partner with Goodwill yet again as it strives to expand in the Twin Cities market.” According to Ryan, construction of the new Maple Grove Goodwill store is expected to wrap-up in January. Goodwill, which will lease the building from Oppidan, has not yet announced an opening date. This is the fifth Goodwill retail store that Oppidan has developed in the past three years. …

The new coffee shop opened its doors to the Maple Grove community Friday morning.
Adding to the full setup of new businesses at Dunkirk Shopping Center in Maple Grove, Starbucks Coffee has opened for business. The new coffee shop is located next to Valvoline and Freeziac near Dunkirk Lane and County Road 30 opened at 4 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21. The hours are 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. "We're really excited to be opening another store in Maple Grove," the Starbucks spokesperson said in a previous Patch interview. The new sandwich shop opened in Maple Grove in August.
Joining other new businesses such as White Castle and Becker Furniture World at Dunkirk Shopping Center, Which Wich Superior Sandwich Shop opened for business in August. “Maple Grove is a vibrant, growing community with fantastic residents, workers and businesses. I decided to place the store along Dunkirk Lane just south of I-94 because the area has high traffic but not very many dining options,” Which Wich franchisee owner Garrett Ebling wrote in an email to Patch. A request to construct a multi-tenant retail building at the Shops at Wedgewood moves forward to the Maple Grove City Council.
Solos Pizza Cafe and CVS could be getting a new neighbor. A plan to build a 6,500 square-foot multi-tenant retail building at the Shops of Wedgewood received unanimous recommendation from the Maple Grove Planning Commission Sept. 10. The PUD Development Stage Plan and final plat moves on to the Maple Grove City Council for approval. The request was submitted by Wedgewood Equities, LLC. The proposed area near Wedgewood Lane and Bass Lake Road had received conceptual approval for a retail building in 2005, according to documents provided to the planning commission.
