Opinion: December 21, 2012 - Is It Really the End of the World?
Opinion - Do you think the world is coming to an end worldwide and in Maple Grove or is it just a hoax? Share your thoughts (along with other Twin Cities residents) about the theories and predictions calling Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 the apocalypse.
One of the best comments I received this week came from my Maple Grove-based chiropractor on Wednesday. “Well, if Friday is the end of the world, it was nice knowing you,” he said with smile. The ending of the Mayan calendar, Nostradamus and supposed space catastrophe are behind some of the theories and predictions calling Dec. 21, 2012 the end of the world. While most of us (I believe) don’t think Friday will be the Mayan apocalypse/end of the world – it hasn’t stopped people from sharing their predictions and end of the world “what if” scenario.
