The Maple Grove Police Department issued information on how to help prevent license plate thefts in an email alert to residents April 10.
Editor's note: The following information was sent out by the Maple Grove Police Department Crime Prevention Officer Todd Strege in a Maple Grove email alert April 10. Recently the Maple Grove Police has seen an increase in license plates being stolen off of vehicles that are parked in easily accessible areas such as driveways and parking lots. A majority of these incidents have been occurring in the overnight hours throughout the city. The most common reasons why people steal license plates are to place the stolen license plates over their own plates before committing a criminal act such as a gas drive off or any theft where a person could obtain the license plate. I live next door to a juvenile burglar...he has never been jailed or punished for committing 3 felonies just a slap on the wrist of community service. Just keeps offending.....he lives in Maple Grove and goes to the Jr. High......just had another burlary this weekend down the street.....hmmmm wonder who did it......hmmmm wonder why Maple Grove Police won't go and confront him ...hmmmmm.   more ›
