National Pancake Day at IHOP to Benefit Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare

Guests can receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes at the Maple Grove IHOP location 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 in exchange for a voluntary contribution to benefit Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare.

IHOP restaurant in Maple Grove, along with those around the Twin Cities, will be hosting “National Pancake Day” to help Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. Customers can receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 in exchange for a voluntary contribution that will benefit Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, according to an Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare press release. “Guests are invited to contribute at least what they would have paid for the pancakes, or $5. New Business: IHOP Restaurant Opens in Maple Grove

Pancakes, signature breakfasts and more 24 hours a day at newly opened IHOP, International House of Pancakes, restaurant in Maple Grove.

Driving on Weaver Lake Road in Maple Grove, motorists can't miss the sign announcing IHOP restaurant is “Now Open.” After months of being under construction to transform what used to be a Fuddruckers restaurant, IHOP is now open for business at its location at 14500 Weaver Lake Road. The restaurant is known for serving up 14 different varieties of pancakes such as buttermilk, chocolate chip, New York cheesecake and its fruit-topped pancakes along with several signature breakfasts and lunch and dinner specialties, according to IHOP. Not coming back here. Apparently it takes around 10 minutes for the workers to realize that people are waiting to be seated, another 10 to be waited on, 15 to get our drinks (just an iced tea and two waters), and 45 to actually get the food that was ordered. New Businesses Buying Into Maple Grove

Business climate "still strong" despite recent tough economic times nationwide.

While some new businesses are filling vacant spaces, others are choosing to build.
