Business spotlight: family-owned Little Feet Childrens Shoes store at the Fountains of Arbor Lakes.
When the Fountains of Arbor Lakes shopping complex opened in Maple Grove, Little Feet Childrens Shoes was one of the first businesses to open in 2006. A year later, the owners Arlene Kielley and Carisa Fegers added a second location in Minnetonka. After seven years, the family-owned and operated business continues to provide a variety of products for children newborn to youth. “We are a business managed by women who are mothers with their own little feet at home,” Fegers said. “We are constantly reminded what fabulous, loyal customers that we have, who support and understand the importance of our small business.” The locally owned business is not part of a corporation or franchise – and its owners are regularly seen on the sales floor and…

A new restaurant is making plans to open in Maple Grove. Representatives of Teresa’s Mexican Restaurant appeared before the Maple Grove City Council at the April 15 meeting for a liquor license request, which was approved effective July 1, 2013. The proposed location for the new restaurant is at the former Orient Buffet site, located at 16314 County Road 30, according to council documents. Although a formal opening date has not been set, a Teresa’s Mexican Restaurant representative at the meeting told councilmembers they hope to open in July.
