The Maple Grove Police Department has approximately 60 sworn police officers. The Maple Grove Police serves the city by responding to calls for service as well participating in education programs, neighborhood watch meetings, crime prevention programs, offers a Police Citizen's Academy and more. The department conducts child car seat inspections by appointment. Residents interested in volunteering can participate in the Police Reserves program and, for youth, the Police Explorers Program. The Maple Grove Police Department has a interactive crime mapping feature for residents to find out about crime occurring in a particular neighborhood. Anonymous tips are taken by the Safe Streets division of the police department at safestreets@ci.maple-grove.mn.us. The Maple Grove Police Department/Public Safety building is adjacent to the Maple Grove Government Center. Tours are available.
