The Maple Grove Arboretum has more than 100 trees on the 15-acre park along Elm Creek. Trails at the arboretum lead to Rice Lake and the Regional Corridor. The arboretum is the site of the Angel of Hope Statue, a memorial dedicated to the park in 2001 as a place for mourning families and parents to seek solace. Each year, a candlelight memorial is held at the statue Dec. 6 at 7 pm. To support the arboretum and statue, there is a tree sponsorship program and brick memorial program. Visitors to the Maple Grove Arboretum have the option to rent the Arboretum Pavilion for a fee.
