Indian Magician to Perform in Maple Grove

Also: Enjoy a beer dinner, and meet a fishing pro.

Indian magician Jadugar Raghuvir has performed in thousands of shows across India, Africa, Russia and Europe. Now he’s coming to Maple Grove.

Raghuvir will offer an evening of magic and fun from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Maple Grove Junior High.

Raghivir was born in a small village near Mulashi dam in Pune. He’s since mastered the art of magic and hypnosis.

Tickets cost $10 for members of the Marathi Association of Minnesota and $20 for nonmembers. Children younger than 5 years old get in free. There is also a magic workshop from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. that costs $5.

Enjoy a Beer Dinner

The Lookout Bar and Grill is hosting a Leinenkugel’s Oktoberfest Beer Dinner on Sunday.

The event, which takes place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., has the following courses:

  • A soft pretzel with Kramarczuk’s sausage drizzled with mustard and paired with Leinenkugel’s Hoppin Helles;
  • Beef eintof strew paired with Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest;
  • German-style pork ribs with sauerkraut and baby red mashed potatoes paired with Ayinger Oktoberfest and
  • Rote Grutze paired with Surly Schadenfreud.

Meet a Rapala Fishing Pro

Lord of Life Lutheran Church is offering men and boys a chance to learn from a Rapala professional fisherman and enjoy a fish lunch.

Perry Good—one of the all-time top money winners in competitive walleye fishing and a PWT (Professional Walleye Trail) champion—will speak and answer questions at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Men's and Boys' Fishing Event.

There will be a lunch of freshly battered fish fillets, special recipe baked beans, oven-baked whole tiny potatoes and freshly baked cookies. 

The event costs $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. The first 100 kids who sign up and pay with a paid adult will receive a free fishing baseball cap.
