Maple Grove Women of Today
Join a group of dynamic women and volunteer with them as they participate in community projects aimed at bettering the community and building strong relationships. The organization is non-profit and welcomes all women from all backgrounds. They meet at 7 p.m. every third Monday of the month at Maple Grove Community.
Breakfast supports student scholarships
The Osseo Area Retired Educators (OARE) 8th Annual Scholarship Breakfast is Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 6-9 a.m., at Osseo Senior High (317 2nd Ave. NW) in the cafeteria. The public is invited to attend to support the OARE Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarships to Osseo Area Schools students.

Tickets are $8 for Belgian waffles with a variety of toppings, pork sausage links, juice and coffee. Craft items will also be on display for sale.
I-494 Open House
MnDOT is planning a project involving seven miles of I-494, between I-394 and I-694. MnDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project and the noise barrier voting process from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Plymouth City Hall.The project includes reconstructing the roadway pavement and several bridges, building noise barriers and incorporating a dynamic shoulder between Highway 55 and East Fish Lake Road. Construction is scheduled to take place from June 2014 through November 2016.
An informal open house is scheduled from 4–6 p.m., with a general project presentation and Q & A session from 6–6:30 p.m. A noise wall presentation and Q & A session is scheduled from 6:30–7 p.m.
Mops Bake & Craft Sale
Support MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) while you stock up on cookies, bars, candies, cheesecakes, breads and crafts on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Maple Grove Evangelical Free Church (8585 Rice Lake Road in Maple Grove).The group will also be taking orders for Perkins Pies. You place the order at the sale and pick up your pies at Maple Grove Perkins on Wednesday, Nov. 27 or Thursday, Nov. 28. Perkins will give MOPs a portion of their proceeds.
Maple Grove Academy Open House and Job Fair
Maple Grove Academy is hosting both an open house and a job fair on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.Fun games for the kids, pampering for the adults, and lots of prize giveaways. They will be conducting interviews for those who want to be a part of their team. Bring a resume, references and transcripts. Maple Grove Academy is located at 16750 91st Ave North in Maple Grove.
Kids Winter/Holiday Consignment Sale
Shop and save between 50-90 percent off retail with Just Between Friends with over 600 families participating, according to organizers.Where: Maple Grove Crossing, 8030 Wedgewood Lane North in Maple Grove (next to Old Navy in the old Gander Mountain).
