National Volunteer Week: Highlighting Maple Grove Volunteers

It's National Volunteer Week April 15 through April 21, 2012, as proclaimed by President Barack Obama. Patch shares the stories of a few Maple Grove volunteers.

Dozens of nonprofits, organizations and their many volunteers make their home in Maple Grove.

From the to the Maple Grove Lions, church mission trips, school volunteers and more – volunteers dedicate their time and energy to causes locally, nationally and internationally.

“During National Volunteer Week, we pay tribute to all who give of themselves to keep America strong, and we renew the spirit of service that has enriched our country for generations,” President Barack Obama said in his proclamation of National Volunteer Week as April 15 through April 21, 2012.
