Video: Snow Expected Soon at Elm Creek Winter Recreation Area in Maple Grove

Once temperatures get colder, skiers, snowboarders and tubers will see the white stuff fly in two Three Rivers Parks.

Even if Mother Nature decides to hold off on the white stuff, the Three Rivers Park District will soon be piling up freshly made snow at the Elm Creek Winter Recreation Area in Maple Grove and Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area in Bloomington.

Once the temperatures drop to below 30 degrees, including humidity, Three Rivers Park District says snow will start to be made at the two parks.

Snow is made each year at the Winter Recreation Area at for a lighted tubing hill with lifts, a beginner-level downhill ski and snowboard hill. The park also has about 18 km of cross-country ski trails.
