Medicine Lake Regional Trail Open House

Three Rivers Park District is hosting an informational open house for people to learn more about a proposed pavement rehabilitation project on a segment of the Medicine Lake Regional Trail. The open house is scheduled for Monday, June 11, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Elm Creek Chalet, 12400 James Deane Parkway, Maple Grove.

The project will affect the Medicine Lake Regional Trail between and in Maple Grove. For the 4.4-mile segment from Fish Lake Regional Park to Interstate 94, rehabilitation primarily will consist of sealcoating and isolated repairs where significant pavement deterioration is occurring.

The pavement on the 2.9-mile section between Interstate 94 and Elm Creek Park Reserve has deteriorated to the point where full reconstruction of the trail is required. Realignment of the trail is proposed near and southwest of where the trail crosses Elm Creek.
