Osseo beats Edina to Advance to the State Championship Game

The Orioles girls basketball team will take on Hopkins High School Saturday night.

In the semi-final of the 2012 State Class AAAA Girls Basketball Tournament,  beat #2 seed Edina High School 57-47 Thursday night at the Target Center.

If the Orioles beat the Royals Saturday night, it will be their third state title, according to the Minnesota State High School League.

Edina led Osseo by three points in the begining of the first half. But the Osseo girls improved their shooting percentage in the second half. Senior forward Olivia Antilla led the Orioles to their victory by scoring 17 points.

The Osseo High girls will compete 8 p.m. this Saturday at the Target Center.
