More than $50,000 in Donations Gifted to Osseo School District

Donations gifted totaling $53,412.98 were received and acknowledged during the Jan. 10 School Board meeting.

Here’s a breakdown of the organizations and individuals donating to Osseo Area Schools and which Maple Grove schools receive funds or goods.

• Basswood Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) donated $30,590 to be used for media books, ESP salary and benefits, classroom support and mentor program at Basswood Elementary, $11,130 for nine classroom amplification systems and shelves as well as $1,920 for three  document cameras for classrooms at the school.

• Alerus Financial donated $100 for field trip transportation for the Connect program.

• Jennifer Brandt donated copier paper and 35 three-ring binders.

• Wells Fargo Foundation donated $212.70 for lyceums, ESP support, field trips and school supplies for students in need at Elm Creek Elementary.

• Ameriprise Financial Giving Campaign donated $57.69 for ESP support, student supplies and lyceums at Elm Creek Elementary.

• Maple Grove Rotary Foundation donated $1,200 for Student’s Connecting Through International Service at Oak View Elementary.

• Sharon Paulson donated $500 to be used for Oak View sixth grade.

• Life Touch donated $1,036.55 to be used at principal’s discretion at Rice Lake Elementary.

• Held’s Nursery donated $75 for school beautification at Rush Creek Elementary.

• Wells Fargo Matching Gift Program - $696.23 for classroom whiteboard and smart boards at Rush Creek Elementary.

• RMG – Alerus Financial donated $100 for student equipment.

• Wells Fargo Foundation Educational Matching Gift Program donated  $89.40 for media center and autism support.

• Carol Ott donated Beanie Babies for student rewards.

• Wells Fargo Foundation Educational Matching Gift Program donated $143.50 to be use at principal’s discretion and for technology for students.

• Ameriprise Financial Annual Giving Campaign donated $57.69 to be used at principal’s discretion at Osseo Junior High

• Maple Grove Senior High Dance Team Activity Account donated $4,477 for invitational judges, music tech and workers at Maple Grove Senior High.

• Northwood Church donated  $1,000 for the Kopp Random Acts of Kindness fund.

• Wright-Hennepin Electric Co-op donated $1,200 for scholarship money.

• Osseo Band Boosters donated $250 for the Senior All Night Party.

• Dave Dahl donated three pair of classic skis to be used at Osseo Senior High.

• Donor Advisor Co. Investment Fund of the Minneapolis Foundation donated $1,000 to be used at principal’s discretion at Osseo Senior High.
