Become a Cancer Killer

Cancer killers are just around the corner…if you know where to look!

Its just a few weeks until summer is truly here, signaled by the start of the Farmer’s Market season! Filled with local fresh produce, these markets are a wealth of cancer fighting potential for your family...if you know where to look! Maximized Living Health Centers around the Twin Cities are helping communities take full advantage of these farmers markets by teaching families how to shop for optimal health at a Free Community Seminar on June 14th.

According to a recent American Cancer Society study, there have already been 9,490 deaths in 2012 from Cancer in the state of Minnesota alone. We often think of the fight against cancer taking place in a lab or at a fundraiser, and we quickly rally behind those affected once the cancer hits.  But families can do MORE to curb the statistics by taking an active role in their health! According to Dr. Jerod Ochsendorf, of Trillium Chiropractic, (A Maximized Living Health Center), “There are simple, easy changes a family can make to promote good health and live a longer, healthier life. Taking advantage of local farmers markets is a great place to start and we want to show you how!”

Wherever you live in the Twin Cities, it’s just a short drive to find a local Farmers Market. According to the Minnesota Grown Directory, there are 945 places to buy direct from the grower in Minnesota! But even with the growing popularity, many moms don’t really know the healthiest choices for their families. Common questions include: what produce has the most pesticides and is best to buy organic? How can I prepare healthy foods so my kids will eat it?  Can I really prevent disease with good nutrition? Can our lifestyle truly affect our health or is it just coming from our genetics?

The upcoming Community talk on Cancer Killers will be offered at all Maximized Living Clinics and is designed to teach families how to take an active role in their health, with the goal of providing simple, practical steps you can take to prevent cancer from developing.  As farmers’ market season opens, moms can go armed and ready to shop for their health! Local families are invited to attend this FREE Event and get prepared to turn your body into a Cancer killing machine!

Trillium Chiropractic, is made up of the team Dr. Jerod Ochsendorf and Dr. Jason Schietz who are part of this movement called Maximized Living.  There are currently 12 Maximized Living clinics across the Twin Cities. “At a Maximized Living Health Center, patients receive so much more than spinal correction,” said Dr. Jerod. “We look at the whole lifestyle and teach families how to make simple changes that make a huge impact on their health.  We focus on the 5 Essentials of Health: Having a Maximized Mind, Maximized Nerve Supply (Here’s where spinal correction comes in), Maximized Nutrition, Maximized Oxygen & Lean Muscle through burst training exercise, and Minimizing Toxins.  Due to the overall health benefits that Maximized Living offers, Maximized Living Doctors are the official Wellness Advisory Counsel for several Olympic Teams including USA Judo, USA Wrestling, and USA Weightlifting, and will be accompanying the athletes in London this summer for the Olympic Games.

According to Katy Saunders, Maximized Living patient, “The doctors came alongside our family to show us what healthy eating really is, and how easy it can be to make small changes.  I’m reading food labels and looking at what I buy differently, and coming for regular visits to keep our spine in line for optimum health!” She and her family of 4 are looking forward to putting their nutrition advice to the test when shopping at farmers markets this summer!

There are 12 Maximized Living clinics in the Twin Cities Metro and all are hosting the June 14th Cancer Killers Event.
