District 279 Community Engagement Executive Director Receives Award of Excellence

Brian Siverson-Hall with the Osseo School District received an Award of Excellence from the Minnesota School Age Care Alliance (MnSACA).

Osseo School District Executive Director of Community Engagement Brian Siverson-Hall recently received the Award of Excellence from the Minnesota School Age Care Alliance (MnSACA), a statewide organization for school age care professionals.

"Ensuring children and youth have positive places, caring people, and creative opportunities in their non-school hours is critical work as children and youth need intentional support to be successful in their social, emotional, and cognitive growth," Siverson-Hall said. 

"It was both humbling and an honor to be recognized for efforts in an area I have a passion for," he said.

Siverson-Hall was recognized at the MnSACA annual conference on Feb. 11.

MnSACA presents the Award of Excellence to an individual, organization, or agency who has had a "significant impact" in the field of school-age or youth programming through their vision and leadership, according to a press release.

“We are thrilled to recognize Brian for his contribution to serving children, youth, families, and the professionals who serve them,” said Sharon Bergen, Executive Director of MnSACA. “Thanks to Brian’s many years of service, leadership and dedication, many Minnesota children and youth have had positive, quality experiences that will benefit them for years to come.”

Siverson-Hall's work with children, youth, families and professionals includes 12 years in the school age care program in Wayzata School District and the first  full-time Executive Director for MnSACA.
