Zellers, Limmer and Peppin Retain Legislative Seats for District 34

All three were incumbents going into the 2012 general election.

District 34 voters have reelected State Rep. Kurt Zellers and Rep. Joyce Peppin as well as State Sen. Warren Limmer in the 2012 general election.

Senate District 34 Seat

Incumbent Warren Limmer (R) will be returning to office as Minnesota District 34 Senator after winning over Sharon Bahensky  (DFL) in the Nov. 6 general election, according to unofficial results posted on the Minnesota Secretary of State website.

Limmer received 25,847 (57.04%) of the votes, Bahensky with 19,406 (42.83%).

Limmer was first elected to the senate in February 1995.  Senate District 34 serves Maple Grove, Osseo, Dayton, Rogers and Hassan.

House District 34A Seat

Returning to the Minnesota House of Representatives, Joyce Peppin (R) has won House District 34A, according to unofficial results posted on the Minnesota Secretary of State website.

Peppin received 14,386 votes (64.24%) of the votes to beat out DFL candidate Adam Fisher who received 7,983 (35.65%) of the votes. Peppins reelection will mean a fifth term for the Rogers resident who was first elected in 2004.

House District 34A serves Maple Grove, Rogers, Hassan, Dayton.

House District 34B Seat

Incumbent Kurt Zellers (R) retains a seat in the Minnesota House with a win in District 34B over David B. Hoden (DFL), according to unofficial results posted on the Minnesota Secretary of State website.

Zellers received 12,802 (54.52%) of the votes, Hoden receiving 10,652 (45.36%).

Zellers wrote about the election on his Facebook page, including sharing that he would not be running for any leadership positions:

It has been an honor to first serve as the Minority Leader and Speaker of the House. I will not be running for any leadership positions for the 88th Legislative Session. I know that our caucus will select a strong leader on Saturday.

I am honored to continue to serve Osseo and Maple Grove in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

House District 34B serves Maple Grove, Osseo.
