Road Work Around Maple Grove: June 11, 12

If you are driving to graduation ceremonies, parties or out of town to the cabin, there are several areas of roadwork you might want to avoid in and around Maple Grove.

Here is a list of some of the projects, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), that might affect Maple Grove motorists the weekend of June 11 and 12.

Highway 169 closure

Starting at 4 a.m. Saturday, June 11, MnDOT said motorists will encounter delays and a detour when both northbound and southbound Highway 169 close between 93rd Avenue/County Road 30 and 101st Avenue in Brooklyn Park.

The official detour is:

  •  Northbound: East on Highway 610 to West Broadway Avenue/County Road 103, use the ramps to access westbound Highway 610 and then northbound Highway 169.

Highway 169 is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Saturday, June 11. One lane of traffic will remain closed on southbound Highway 169 until 10 p.m.  The closure is part of the work for a new interchange at Highway 610 and Highway 169.

 Interstate 94

Non-rush hour lane closures are expected on Interstate 94 between Interstate 494 in Maple Grove and Exit 205 in St. Michael until July 8.

According to MnDOT, the road is being repaired and resurfaced and will be reduced to one or two lanes as needed until early July.
