Other facts
I have spent the last 18 years representing individuals and small businesses in a wide variety of legal matters, and have had the opportunity to see first-hand how being in court can impact a person's entire life.
I have always kept my clients in mind when I have served as a Conciliation Court Referee or municipal hearing officer and I have treated every person whose case I considered with the respect, courtesy and attention that I would both want and expect were it me whose case was being considered.
For all of my life I have worked hard to serve others, whether this means getting out of bed at 2:00 a.m. to respond to a fire call in my community, serving on the board of a charter school serving students with autism, coaching a high school mock trial team, or meeting with new parents of critically ill children to share my own experiences as the parent of a “preemie.” I have never refused to help where help is needed, and I have always been willing to share my particular skills whenever possible. I do it to set an example for my sons, but more than that, I do it because it is the right thing to do.
I have a unique and varied background — both personally and professionally — and will bring that experience with me to the Hennepin County Court. I ask for your vote on November 6.
