Maple Grove Weekend Road Work Report: July 22-July 24

If you are heading out of town this weekend or taking a drive around town, there are several areas of roadwork you might want to avoid in and around Maple Grove.

Here is a list of some of the projects, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the city of Maple Grove, that might effect Maple Grove motorists the weekend of June 22-26.

Elm Road at Vicksburg Lane

Elm Road, at its intersection with Vicksburg Lane, will be closed for about five days due to a sewer pipe project by the city of Maple Grove.  The closure, which started July 21, is expected to last about five days. Residents living on Elm Road can exit east on Elm Road as an alternate route. Questions during the road closure can be directed to the Maple Grove Engineering Department: 763-494-6350.

Highway 610

Road construction work is “in progress” for the Highway 610 project, including the intersection at Highway 169 in Brooklyn Park. The new Hwy 610 extension will be a 2.74-mile long, four-lane highway from Hwy 169 in Brooklyn Park to County Road 81 in Maple Grove.

Northbound Highway 169

Road reconstruction on northbound Highway 169 between 77th Avenue North in Maple Grove and 93rd Avenue North in Brooklyn Park may cause delays.

Bass Lake Road / County Road 10

Road reconstruction continues on Bass Lake Road in Maple Grove. The speed limit in the construction area has been reduced to 35 miles per hour.
