Stuck Child, Grass Fires: Maple Grove Fire Blotter

The fire department also responded to several kitchen related fires Aug. 20-26, 2012.

The following are incidents responded to by the  from Aug. 20-26, 2012 as provided by the Maple Grove Fire Department.

  • Report of possible building fire on the 7900 block of Kimberly Lane North on Aug. 20.  Small fire in compressor area of refrigerator flames showing.
  • 10300 block of Nathan Lane North, unauthorized burning on Aug. 20.
  • Grass fire on the shoulder and ditch along Interstate 94 on both sides of fence adjacent to on Aug. 20.  Fire extinguished with hose lines.
  • 9600 block of 99th Avenue North, unauthorized burning
  • Grass fire report along Interstate 94 on Aug. 22.  Crews arrived on scene and found fire out. 
  • 9700 block of 103rd Place North on report of person in distress Aug. 22. Reporting individual called fire department offices at requesting assistance for a child stuck in a high chair. Duty crew responded and removed foot rest from high chair allowing the child to be freed from the chair. No injuries to the child.
  • 12000 block of 80th Avenue North. Arcing, shorted electrical equipment Aug. 24.
  • 9100 block of Ranchview Lane North.  Cooking fire, confined to container. Burned food in oven on Aug. 26.
  • 8700 block of Zachary Lane North. Trash or rubbish fire. Container with rags soaked with cleaning solvent caught fire Aug. 26.  Fire was out when fire department arrived.

The Maple Grove Fire Department also responded to 12 false or malfunction alarms.
