Police Arrest Three Suspects in Maple Grove Robbery

The reported robbery happened Wednesday, May 16 in the parking lot of the McDonalds Restaurant on Blackoaks Lane North in Maple Grove.

Three men have been arrested for their alleged connection in a May 16 robbery in the parking lot of the restaurant located on the 9500 block of Blackoaks Lane North in Maple Grove.

Maple Grove Police officers responded to the reported robbery about 1 a.m. May 16, according to Captain Tracy Stille.

"A handgun was implied but not seen by the victim(s). A substantial amount of currency was stolen from one of the victims and the suspects fled in a vehicle," Stille said in an email to Patch. "The suspect vehicle was later located in the city of Fridley and three suspects were identified and placed under arrest and transported to Hennepin County Adult Detention Center."

The three arrested for aggravated robbery were a 22-year-old Brooklyn Park man, 24-year-old New Hope man and 21-year-old Minneapolis man. The men were released from custody at the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center on May 18. As of May 22, no charges have been filed in the case, according to the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.

The Maple Grove Police Department was assisted by the Fridley Police Department. The incident continues to investigated, according to Stille.
