Here’s a recap of the posts that generated the most interest on Maple Grove Patch in April. Did you catch all of them?

Topping the list of most read stories was the triple homicide in nearby Brooklyn Park which prompted as law enforcement searched for the suspect. Despite the release of sketch of the suspect’s jacket and the offering of a reward, no arrests or charges have been made in the murder of Brooklyn Park residents DeLois Brown, James Bolden, and Clover Bolden. The schools all resumed normal operation April 9.

Community members were anxious to read about several new businesses coming to Maple Grove. Here's some of the other top read stories in April.

New Maple Grove restaurant at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes on April 20 as the Maple Grove’s first Brazilian steakhouse and came in as one of the top read Maple Grove Patch stories.

possibly moving into the Mann Theatre made it one of the top read articles in April. Residents had a lot to say in comments about the news. of Whirlyball coming to Maple Grove and add your own comment.

Community members continue to want to read about the – a cupcake, custom cake studio. The business has been featured on  TLC's "Fabulous Cakes" and appeared on and won the Food Network's "Cupcake Wars" in January. According to the Nadia Cakes Facebook page, they are hoping to open in early July. As of May 2, the business says it will be hiring “soon” and it will be announcing it on its Facebook page.

“Once we open we're going to wait two weeks or so before we start taking custom orders so we can get our newbies trained. But we will have cakes and cupcakes available for last minute pick up starting the day we open our doors and we can add a personal message for you at no charge,” according to a Nadia Cakes Facebook page post May 2. “The menu at both shops will be the same so what you see here on Facebook will be in your Maple Grove store as soon as we open! We'll also be making chef's specials from local produce so you'll have some great cupcakes available in MN that you can only get here. You can see the menu for July on our website now if you want to take a peek at what to expect!”
