Maple Grove Police Blotter: Yu Fong Restaurant Reportedly Burglarized

A report of a break in and burglary at Yu Fong Restaurant was among the incidents appearing on the Dec. 30 to Jan. 5 Maple Grove Police blotter.

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in Maple Grove during the week of Dec. 30 to Jan. 5 as provided by the Maple Grove Police Department.

Dec. 30

  • Theft on the 16300 block of 96th Avenue. Report of vehicle leaving station without paying for gas.

  • Damage to property at the intersection of Gladstone Boulevard and Lakespur Glade. Report of light pole knocked over by vehicle.
  • Theft from auto on the 8900 block of Yucca Lane. Report of a handgun stolen from center console of vehicle parked in driveway.
  • Theft from auto on the 9700 block of 69th Avenue. Report of ID badge, apartment keys and other vehicle keys stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in apartment lot.
  • Vehicle tampering on the 12700 block of 73rd Place. Report of three unlocked vehicles gone through but nothing appeared to be taken.
  • Burglary on the 6300 block of Vinewood Lane. Report of restaurant broken into and $100 stolen from cash register.
  • Theft from auto on the 13800 block of 85th Avenue. Report of GPS unit and a duffel bag containing miscellaneous tools and vehicle supplies stolen from vehicle overnight.
  • Damage to property on the 9700 block of Norwood Lane. Report of wire, lights, ornaments in yard pushed over damaging the support rods.

Jan. 1

  • Theft on the 12000 block of 90th Avenue. Report of $25 Subway gift certificate stolen from mailbox.
  • Theft on the 8900 block of Annapolis Lane. Report of license plates stolen from vehicle overnight.

  • Theft from auto on the 11400 block of Fountains Drive. Report of vehicle broken into in parking lot and GPS unit stolen.
  • Theft on the 12600 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of wallet and cell phone possibly stolen at - charges made on credit card at and in Maple Grove.

Jan. 3

  • Theft on the 7800 block of Main Street. Report of wallet stolen out of purse left in unattended office while reporting party was at work at .

Jan. 4

  • Theft on the 12600 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of wallet containing credit cards and $650 cash stolen while at .
  • Theft from auto on the 6200 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Report of rear license plate stolen from vehicle—plate was subsequently recovered in Brooklyn Park.

Jan. 5

  • Theft from auto on 11700 block of 95th Avenue. Report of catalytic converters stolen from two TruGreen company trucks.
  • Theft on the 13300 block of Bass Lake Road. Report of vehicle leaving station without paying for gas.

There were 27 property damage, four medical incidents and two personal injury traffic accidents reported during this time period.
