Maple Grove Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Burglary, Assault

A review of the incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department.

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in Maple Grove during the week of Feb. 17 through Feb. 23 as provided by the , including Maple Grove police responding to a report of a burglary and assault Feb. 19 on the 8400 block of Forestview Lane North. A 53-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested in the incident.

Feb. 17

  • Theft from auto on the 12300 block of 87th Avenue. Report of license plates stolen off vehicle parked in driveway overnight.
  • Theft from auto on the 12300 block of Main Street. Report of rear license plate stolen from vehicle parked in the transit ramp.

  • Burglary on the 8400 Forestview Lane. Individual arrested for burglary and assault.

Feb. 20

  • Theft on the 7400 block of County  Road 101. Individual purchased a cell phone from another individual in Lord of Life Church parking lot, which he believed to be stolen.
  • Vandalism on the 6200 block of Juneau Lane. Report of residence being “toilet papered.”

  • Theft on the 9700 block of Cottonwood Lane. Report of rear license plate stolen off vehicle parked in driveway overnight.
  • Theft on the 11900 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of vehicle leaving station without paying for gas.

Feb. 22

  • Theft on the 13300 block of Bass Lake Road. Report of vehicle leaving station without paying for gas.

Feb. 23

  • Theft from auto on the 9000 block of Vinewood Lane. Report of license plates stolen off vehicle parked in driveway overnight.

There were 16 property damage and one personal injury traffic accident reported during this time period.
