Maple Grove Fire Blotter: Firefighters Extinguish Vehicle Fire

A report of a vehicle fire prompted a call to the around 4:15 p.m. Jan. 22 on westbound Interstate 94, west of Maple Grove Parkway. According to the incident report, crews arrived at the scene “to find flames showing from the rear underside of the vehicle.” The fire was then extinguished and the scene cleared about 4:45 p.m.

This, and other incidents, appeared on the weekly report provided by the Maple Grove Fire Department for the week of Jan. 16 to Jan. 22, including: 13 false or malfunctioning alarm/detectors, a Hamel building fire, a water/steam leak and vicinity alarm.
