Leaking Car Starts Garage Fire

Gasoline caught fire and spread to the car and garage.

Burning gasoline from a car started a fire in a single-car detached garage, according to Fire Department reports.

A tenant saw liquid flowing from beneath a car out toward the driveway on the 200 block of West Eagle Lake Drive at 7:28 p.m. Oct. 14. The gasoline caught fire and spread to the parked car. The flames then caused heat damage to the inside of the garage.

Police officers used extinguishers to contol the fire until the Fire Department arrived.
