Maple Grove Senior High Gets All-Clear After Evacuation

As a precautionary measure, Maple Grove Senior High was evacuated shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon due to the detection of a gas odor in the building.

Students who drove or walked were dismissed early; remaining students were evacuated to the Maple Grove Sports Dome, where buses will pick them up and take them home shortly.

CenterPoint Energy gave the all-clear to return to the Maple Grove Senior High building at about 2 p.m., according to the district. Activities held immediately after school remain cancelled, but evening activities resumed as scheduled.
