Burglars Reportedly Steal Electronics: Maple Grove Police Blotter

Three separate burglaries on April 30 were among the incidents appearing on the recent Maple Grove Police blotter.

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in Maple Grove during the week of April 27 through May 3, 2012 as provided by the .

April 27

  • Damage to property on the 7700 block of Fountain Lane. Report of both passenger side tires of vehicle slashed while parked in driveway.
  • Theft on the 16300 block of 96th Avenue. Report of vehicle leaving station without paying for gas.
  • Theft from auto on the 16400 block 77th Circle. Report of iPod and radar detector stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight.
  • Theft on the 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Two juvenile suspects arrested for shoplifting cargo pants and a cap from Kohl’s.
  • Vandalism on the 12600 block of 74th Avenue. Report of someone breaking eggs and leaving chocolate on concrete front porch of residence.
  • Burglary on the 16400 block of 75th Avenue. Report of two iPhones stolen from residence, suspect fled the scene.

April 28

  • Car prowlers on the 7000 block of Empire Lane. Report of two males seen in neighbor’s car. When outside lights were turned on, suspects fled the scene.
  • Theft on the 11400 block of Fountains Drive. Report of suspect committing “refund theft” at the Home Goods store.
  • Theft on the 16400 block of 96th Avenue. Report of bike stolen out of back of truck at MGM Liquors, suspect fled in a vehicle.
  • Damage to property on the 7700 block of Fountain Lane. Report of outdoor solar lights pulled out of the ground.
  • Damage to property on the 10800 block of County Road 81. Report of key slots at business filled with glue.
  • Theft on the 7600 block of Zanzibar Lane. Report of bike stolen from in front of residence.

  • Medical on the 17400 block of 83rd Avenue. Responded to individual with chest pain. Officers administered oxygen until transported to hospital by paramedics.
  • Theft on the 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Two suspects arrested for stealing $150 courtesy wheelchair at Kohl’s.
  • Theft on the 12900 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of bike stolen from in front of community center.
  • Theft on the 11500 block of Fountains Drive. Report of iPhone stolen while shopping at DSW shoes.
  • Medical on the 10600 block of 107th Place. Responded to individual having an asthma attack. Officers administered oxygen until transported to hospital by paramedics.
  • Theft on the 13400 block of Grove Drive. Report of vehicle leaving station without paying for gas.

April 30

  • Burglary on the 13400 block of 88th Avenue. Report of someone using garage door opener to enter garage and stole a digital camera from inside.
  • Burglary on the 6300 block of Quinwood Lane. Report of someone entering residence through ground level sliding door and stealing a TV.
  • Theft from auto on the 13300 block of 87th Place Report of MPS player, $50 cash and 20-30 CDs stolen from vehicle parked in driveway overnight possibly unlocked.
  • Burglary on the 13100 block of 89th Avenue. Report of car parked in garage entered and an iPod, cash and debit card stolen.
  • Theft from auto on the 13300 block of 87th Way. Report of iPod and iPhone stolen from vehicle parked in driveway overnight.
  • Damage to property near Elm Creek Boulevard and County Road 81. painted on retaining wall and utility box.
  • Damage to property near County Road 30 and Upland Lane. Report of graffiti painted on junction box and semaphore and in bike tunnel.

May 1

  • Theft on the 16400 block of County Road 30—suspect arrested at Rainbow for returning items previously stolen from the store.
  • Theft on the 9000 block of Villard Cove. Report of MacBook stolen while at party.
  • Theft on the 11400 block of Fountains Drive. Suspect arrested for shoplifting four shirts and one pair of shoes at Marshall’s.
  • Theft on the 16300 block of 96th Avenue. Report of vehicle leaving station without paying for gas.

May 2

  • Theft on the 9800 block of Vagabond Lane. Report of outdoor lights stolen from residence.
  • Burglary on the 8000 block of Shenandoah Lane. Resident interrupted a burglary in progress in garage where two shirts and a “Happenings” book were stolen from vehicle parked inside, suspects fled the scene.

There were 19 property damage and four personal injury traffic accidents reported during this time period.
