Assist with Building Fires, Hay Bales in Fire: Maple Grove Fire Blotter

The department also responded to several medical calls.

The following are incidents were responded to by the Maple Grove Fire Department from April 1-7, 2013. Details provided by the fire department.

April 1

  • 8500 block of Rice Lake Road. Authorized controlled burning.
  • 12100 block of 87th Avenue North. Steam, vapor, fog or dust thought to be smoke

April 2

  • 14000 block of 121st Avenue, Dayton. Building fire. Dispatched initially for one engine to assist Dayton Fire Department at a detached garage fire.  On their third alarm, Station #4 was also dispatched for one engine.  Chief 1 responded to scene and served as staging.

April 4

  • Eastbound I-694 at County Road 81. Road freight or transport vehicle fire. Mutual aid assist to Brooklyn Park for a semi-truck with flatbed trailer, carrying large rolled hay bales on fire.

April 6

  • 7700 block of Queensland Lane North. EMS call, excluding vehicle accident with injury. Dispatched to assist at EMS incident for cardiac arrest.  Two firefighters rode in with the ambulance to assist with patient care.

April 7

  • 18500 block of 66th Place North. EMS call, excluding vehicle accident with injury. Dispatched to assist with possible cardiac arrest.
