Assist with Brooklyn Park Fire, Burnt Food: Maple Grove Fire Blotter

The Maple Grove Fire Department also responded to a car accident.

The following are incidents were responded to by the Maple Grove Fire Department from March 18-24, 2013. Details provided by the fire department

March 18

  • 8100 block of Main Street North. Odor/smell of gas.
  • 9300 block of Winnetka, Brooklyn Park. Building fire.

March 20

  • County Road 81 and Zachary Lane. Chemical spill or leak. Dispatched to assist at scene of car accident. Used floor dry to absorb leaking antifreeze.

March 21

  • 8700 block of Sycamore Lane North. Strange odor/smell.

March 22

  • 9200 block of Xenium Lane North. Steam, vapor, fog or dust thought to be smoke.
  • 13600 block of Timber Crest Drive North. Steam, vapor, fog or dust thought to be smoke.

March 23

  • 8100 block of Everest Lane North. Burnt Food. Dispatched to fire alarm.  Arrived to find smoke condition from burnt toast.

March 24

  • 8900 block of Peony Lane North. Gas leak. Dispatched to check on natural gas in home from valve on stove being left open overnight.  Plumber had been working on stove.  Strong odor of natural gas in home.  Ventilated home.

There were also 10 incidents of false or malfunctioning alarms.
