Irene was a long-time employee of the Leamington Hotel, a volunteer at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survived by sons Terry (Pauline Gustafson) Frovik, William (Jennifer) Frovik, daughter Deborah (Robert) Chall; grandchildren Sara (Johann) Massmann, Richard (Molly) Frovik, Christopher (fiancé Lori Ross) Frovik, Erick (Kelly) Chall, Stacey (Thomas) Pospisil; step grandchildren, Amanda Gustafson (fiancé Rich Schepler), Erik Gustafson; great grandchildren Lydia, Anton, Margo, Bailee, Richard Carl Jr. (on the way)., Molly Irene, Ivan & Kathryn; sisters Ella Himebaugh, LaVile Nelson and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husbands Carl Frovik and Clifford Hamann, infant son Donald, sisters Leona Kveum and Shirley Boehm.
