Obituary: Evelyn L. Setzler, Former Osseo School District Teacher

Evelyn L. Setzler 
(July 10, 1913 - June 22, 2013) 

Setzler, Evelyn L., age 99 of Osseo passed away on June 22, 2013.

She is survived by niece Lorraine (Dennis) Pelley, grand nephew Brian Setzler, grand nieces Lisa (Rich) Huber, Karen (Kelvin) Langford, great grand nieces Katie Huber & Terra Setzler, great grand nephew Brady Huber, Special Friend & caregiver Lila Hedlund. She is also survived by many students & friends.

Evelyn was a science teacher at Osseo schools for 40 years, graduate of the University of Minnesota, Charter Member of the Osseo United Methodist Church, and Charter Member of the Osseo chapter of the Eastern Star. She was the proud originator of the District #279 Waste Basket Review Scholarship Fund in 1967. Evelyn’s true pride and passion was her gardening. She enjoyed traveling, taking countless trips around the world. Evelyn was known for always caring for others before herself.

Funeral Service 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Osseo United Methodist Church. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Evans-Nordby Funeral Home (34 Second St. N.E.) in Osseo and one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Interment Brooklyn-Crystal Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their gratefulness to Donna & her caregivers at Ark on the River in Anoka for the wonderful love & care given. Memorials preferred to the Osseo United Methodist Church, Fund #601, for Future Development.
