Maple Grove/Champlin Chapter of Moms RUN This Town is in Full Swing!

If you are a mom (to a human or a pet) or a future mom...or heck, any woman who can spell "mom"...and you are also a runner, or want to be a runner, or maybe you even just prefer to walk for now...then Moms RUN This Town (MRTT) is the group for you!

MRTT is a FREE (!!!) to join, national running club with nearly 500 chapters (and thousands of members) nationwide and in Canada. The Maple Grove/Champlin chapter has recently been gaining momentum, meeting up for walks/runs several times and have done a couple of coffee/breakfast meet ups as well. We are approaching 40 members and are receiving amazing feedback! Local moms love the opportunity for motivation, support and companionship from other moms. The laid back, flexible nature of the group means there is a place for anyone with any schedule and of any fitness level.

All you have to do to is request to join our Private Facebook Group: Champlin/Maple Grove MRTT. 

There you will find lots of chatter...about running, nutrition, parenting, whatever. That is also where we organize and post schedules for our events, etc. There are no specific participation requirements, so even if you just want to start off by watching the posts and chatting, that is totally fine.

 I see a pattern with many members - they are nervous about getting out there and meeting strangers like that...it's totally out of their comfort zone...but once they do it, they are glad they did - and they come again and again. They make friends in the group, they feel supported. The great thing is that there are people who walk, people who jog, people who run. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is friendly. Don't worry about your pace, I can promise you that you will not "slow anyone down" or be left out.
