A Car Wash for a Great Cause
BWM of Minnetonka offering quality car washes to benefit Imara International
MAPLE GROVE, MN (April 22, 2013)— With the long winter weather leaving a few remnants on vehicles, what better time than now to consider a quality car wash that is giving back to a worthy cause?
Mark your calendars for some spring car cleaning this May and June as Imara International, a nonprofit organization serving teenage mothers in Kenya, teams up with BMW of Minnetonka to provide a BMW-class car wash to any vehicle in exchange for a $10 donation, which will be matched by BMW of Minnetonka. All contributions will directly benefit Imara and its mission.

The car washes will be held each Saturday in May and June, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at BMW of Minnetonka, located at 15802 Wayzata Boulevard in Minnetonka. Imara International board members and volunteers will be on hand on May 4 and June 1 to answer questions and share the Imara story with participants.
“The car wash offers individuals not only a great service, but allows us to generate awareness of Imara’s actions in providing education and life skills for Kenyan teenage mothers and early childhood education for their children,” said Kris Epland, Imara director. “We are excited to share Imara’s story during the car wash event.”

According to BMW of Minnetonka’s mission statement, they believe in the importance of supporting and giving back to the community through outreach. The mission of BMW of Minnetonka is to build long-term relationships with its customers, employees and the community.
Imara International will host “Get The Scoop II,” a fundraiser and ice cream social, set for Sunday, May 19, 6:00-9:00 p.m., at Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners in Plymouth, Minn.
