Pierre Bottineau Open House

Saturday, Sept. 1, from 1-4 p.m., at Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove. Step back in time and explore the restored Pierre Bottineau house. Built in 1854 — four years before Minnesota became a state — it’s one of a handful of homes remaining from Minnesota’s territorial era. Examine exhibit plans that highlight the life and times of the legendary Bottineau. Hear how his varied roles of hunter, trader, entrepreneur, and founder of cities impacted the early development of the state.

This program is free and open to all ages.
