Nutrition for Boomers: Are you S M A R T? Thursday, July 17th, 1-2:30 PM
Today’s older adults face many challenges when it comes to taking good care of themselves. This class will provide the older adult with information on how they can be SMART: a Savvy Shopper, being Meal Minded with good nutrition,Active, Resource Ready, and Tip-top when dealing with physical, social, emotional and medical limitations. This 90 minute class is taught by a registered, licensed dietitian nutritionist.
What participants will learn:
- How to get more bang for their buck when grocery shopping
- Calorie, fiber, protein, fat, Vitamin D, calcium and sodium and hydration needs
- How to put together a healthy meal plan
- How to increase physical activity
- How to overcome physical, visual, oral, digestive and other changes related to aging
- Additional resources for obtaining desired information
Who should attend:
