Saturday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Richardson Nature Center in Bloomington.
Use real ice tools and try your hand at harvesting with ice harvesting historian Tim Graf and costumed interpreters from The Landing. Learn about water quality and ice safety. Cut blocks of ice with an old-fashioned ice saw, pull an antique ice plow, and weigh blocks of ice. Enjoy a wagon ride pulled by Percheron horses. Keep warm with outdoor campfires or go indoors for hot cocoa.
Cost is $7 per person. Drop in anytime.
