Jana Anderson Band

The daughter of a minister and homemaker, from a small town in Minnesota, Jana (pronounced Jay- na ) Anderson has been singing all of her life.  With her first solo performance in front of an audience at age 3, Jana
fell in love with music. She moved on to church singing and leads in high  school musicals. Before leaving Minneapolis to embark on her professional music  career, Jana attended the University of Minnesota.

Having toured extensively as a backing vocalist for some of the music industry's biggest names, including Stevie Nicks, Don Henley, Fleetwood Mac, and Jewel, Jana has also performed on almost every major television variety
show, such as the Tonight Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. She has sung on recordings by Prince, Don Henley and the “Live in Boston” DVD/CD by Fleetwood Mac. Other highlights of her career also include appearing as a live guest performer with Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder and Celine Dion.

Stepping out front with her own brand of country rock crossover, Jana performs regularly with her band. Her dynamic vocal power and range are trademarks, and her on-stage fire and riveting stage persona continue to
captivate audiences everywhere.  She was recently selected to play the Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival by a panel of radio station and
record industry executives, where she played songs from her recently completed debut CD “Never Say Never.”

Away from the demands of the music business, Jana is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast who enjoys horseback
riding, water- and snow-skiing, and hiking.  She loves animals and had once considered becoming a veterinarian.  Another of her hobbies is cooking, and Jana hopes to someday release a book of her own recipes.
