As significant as the campaign's overall fundraising progress, Zellers’ support comes from 4,166 individual donors; more than four times greater than the only other candidate to report a donor number All candidates are required to file complete reports with the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board by Jan. 31.

“Recent polls have shown Mark Dayton vulnerable and polling below 50 percent, but only a Republican who can both raise money and appeal to a broad spectrum of voters will win this election," said Dean Simpson, Chair of the Zellers for Governor Campaign Committee. “In the governor's race and as Speaker of the House, Kurt has won national respect for his fundraising ability. Kurt's middle-class appeal and significant donor base advantage mean he will have the resources to beat Mark Dayton in November.”
