Dean Henke Declares Candidacy for House District 34B

Henke has lived in Maple Grove for 27 years and has been on the Osseo School District for 10 of them.

From a news release:

Twenty-seven-year Maple Grove resident, Dean Henke, has announced his candidacy for the Minnesota House of Representatives - House District 34B.

“It has been an honor and privilege to represent the residents of the Osseo School District the past ten years; I’m now asking the residents of Maple Grove and Osseo to elect me as your representative so that I can continue to serve the communities of House District 34B.  This will be a ‘grass roots’ campaign that will be built upon relationships, service to community and leadership.” Henke stated.

Henke said his top priorities if elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives will be fiscal responsibility, increase local control, and education.

A long-time community volunteer, Henke is currently a member of the Osseo School Board.

He is also a past Osseo Maple Grove Basketball Association (OMGBA) girl’s basketball coach, Osseo Maple Grove Athletic Association (OMGAA) girl’s fast pitch softball coach, and member of the Maple Grove Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC).

Henke is a graduate of Augsburg College in Minneapolis and holds a B.A. in Accounting.  He is a Financial Analyst with 15 plus years of experience in the health care industry.  He and his wife of 22 years Donna have two daughters, Lauren and Danielle; graduates of Maple Grove Senior High, both attending the University of Minnesota – Rochester.
