The housing market may still be recovering from the recession but a handful of Maple Grove homes are on the market for close to a million dollars.

It edged out a $4.8 million property in Edina for the title of most expensive home to sell in the county in 2012. The Wayzata home features five bedrooms and six baths; plus, a living room with two massive fireplaces, a wall of windows looking out over the lake and room for a grand piano.

The most expensive homes on the market right now in Maple Grove aren’t quite that pricey, but they aren’t shabby homes. According to AOL real estate, the top three most expensive homes on the market right now in Maple Grove are:

• Asking Price: $1,195,000

A 5 bed, 5 bath home on Ranier Lane with an inground pool, private screened in porch, deck, and lower level media room is currently the most expensive home up for sale in Maple Grove. The home was built in 2008, has 5,816 sq. ft. of room and sits on .76 acres of land.

• 7963 Chesshire Lane
• Asking Price: $998,000

A 4 bed, 4 bath home on Chesshire Lane, with an inground pool, 170ft of lakeshore and two kitchens marks the second most expensive home on the market right now in Maple Grove. It was built in 1989 and sits on .79 acres of land.

• 17364 62nd Avenue North
• Asking price: $985,000

Taking the spot for the third most expensive home in Maple Grove has 5 bedrooms, 5 baths and an indoor sportcourt with 18ft. high ceilings. It was built in 2012 and has 5,701 sq. ft. of room.
