Empty Bowls 2013: Sponsors, Soup Donations, Bowls and Volunteers Needed

Maple Grove Empty Bowls Event looking for Sponsors, Soup Donors, Bowl Artists & Volunteers

On Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Maple Grove Community Center from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., we are holding our 8th annual Empty Bowls event.

It has been our tradition that guests choose a bowl, eat a simple bowl of soup and bread and keep the bowl as a reminder of empty bowls in our community. Guests contribute a donation dependent on the chosen bowl.

Bowls are created by local artists, community members, and students and staff from Osseo Area Schools. Our event includes a silent auction for unique bowls and entertainment by local musicians and students from Osseo Area Schools. Empty Bowls raises awareness about hunger issues, educates children and adults about community service and raises much needed funds for CROSS Food Shelf, which serves the communities of Maple Grove, Osseo, Rogers, Corcoran, West Champlin, and Dayton.
