Cetera names Katherine Moss Financial Advisor of the Year

Maple Grove Wealth Manager Katherine Moss is named Cetera’s Financial Advisor of the Year.

Moss was selected from more than 1950+ Registered Representatives within Cetera Advisor Networks – the 15th largest broker/dealer in the nation (Investment News, 2012).

She was recognized, not only for her performance in the financial industry, but her willingness to share her time and knowledge for the benefit of many: personally - spending 10+ hours per week giving back to the community; professionally - inspiring both her firm and the broker-dealer to a better way of doing business.

Moss has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years and with JRA Financial/Cetera since 1994.  She was a “pioneer” of Advisory business – with the belief that fee based asset management was the direction the Financial Planning industry would and should be headed.  She built the systems and processes that helped JRA Financial secure a place as the #1 Advisory office at Cetera for many years. 

Moss led JRA Financial towards the development of proprietary rebalancing software. This enabled her to be among the first Financial Advisors to offer continuous, in-depth account monitoring for clients. Today, she continues to be an instrumental leader of Cetera’s Premier Client Division.

Personally, Moss combines her experience, love of education and desire to provide an opportunity for growth through “Best Prep.”  As part of the volunteer organization dedicated to preparing Minnesota students with business, career and financial literacy skills, Moss spends time to help enrich the teaching and learning experiences for students and educators.  Her experience helps students to be best prepared to make sound financial decisions, succeed in the workforce and take on future challenges.

Additionally, Moss makes it a point to offer outreach opportunities to others. Each year JRA Financial hosts an annual Charity Day providing a platform for clients and employees to get involved. Events such as JRA’s Shred-a-Thon are also hosted.  Moss is a significant contributor of time to her church and local theater as well.
