Which New Business Would You Pick For Maple Grove?

People in Maple Grove love to talk business! Find out what your neighbors suggested here and add your own ideas.

When you ask Maple Grove residents about new business, it's serious business.

This question was posed on Facebook last week: "If you could have just one new restaurant or business in Maple Grove, what would it be?"

So 128 comments later, we might not have a No. 1 answer, but we have lots of ideas to throw around.

Looking to open a business? It's clear that people in Maple Grove like to eat and drink. Only a handful answered the question with a store that doesn't involve food– and then those didn't get much appreciation (Macy's, Herberger's and The Container Store were mentioned). However, another parking garage by Whole Foods would be much appreciated.

Also, as found by my informal research, there is a group of people who want unique, non-chain restaurants. But others are happy to go where they've already found success. And Nectar Wine Bar...Where have you gone? You have fans who want you back.

These were the most popular mentioned (and the amount of likes people gave them):

  • Nectar Wine Bar that was previously open in Osseo (17)
  • Punch Pizza (13)
  • Non-chain, farm-to-table, organic and vegetarian food (13)
  • Non-chain!! We need more small businesses, that can afford to be here!! Family and unique! (12)
  • A wine bar (10)
  • Parking garage over by Whole Foods (10)
  • Buffalo Wild Wings (9)
  • Bagel place! Yes folks, there really isn't one in the city of Maple Grove. (9)
  • Yes, Bruegger's please! (8)
  • In-N-Out Burger (7)
  • Davanni's (7)
  • Pizza Luce (7)
  • Anything specialty! NO CHAINS!!!! (7)
  • Craft brewery with burgers, sandwiches and pizza. Preferably in the Hwy. 30/Dunkirk area (6)
  • Pei Wei (5)
  • Kona Grill (4)
