What New Business is Being Built on County Road 30 in Maple Grove?
This 7,770 square foot facility is the latest business to build near the former Target building off of County Road 30 in Maple Grove.
In an area that used to be the parking lot for the former building, Discount Tire is building a new store in Maple Grove.
The 7,770 square foot retail business is scheduled to be completed and open in October 2011, according to Discount Tire representative Mark Thuman. Discount Tire has more than 790 stores in 23 states and is considered an independent multi-brand tire and wheel retailer.
The business will be the latest addition to the retail center known as the Dunkirk Shopping Center at Dunkirk Lane and County Road 30 in Maple Grove. Businesses have been slowly moving into the area, including and Maple Grove.

Maple Grove Community Development Director Dick Edwards confirmed a Big Lots store will also be leasing part of the former Target building. The information was reported earlier this year by the Star Tribune. Edwards indicated the information wasn't released during an interview in early June to Maple Grove Patch at the businesses request for confidentiality. He indicated permits have been issued for work inside the former Target building, but had no expected date of opening.
