What would you like to see in the former KFC building?

Located at 13320 Grove Drive in Maple Grove, the former Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant was built on the site in 1989 and has remained vacant for several years.

The building is currently up for sale at a listing price of $1.2 million, according to Streeter Companies. The building is 3,500 square feet on an acre of land and located next to . Patch has not received a response to a request for additional information about the KFC property from Streeter Companies.

According to Hennepin County property information records, the property is owned by Maple Grove Foods Inc. based in Minneapolis. The total market value as of January 2011 is estimated by Hennepin County to be approximately $834,700.

I would think the store hasn't been used for so long that it would make more sense to destroy the building and start over. Brueggers is a good option.

Since it's not really near other restaurants, do you think another food place might struggle at that location?

Chick-fil-A just started construction by TGI Friday's. It should open in September or October, but look for an August 14 pre-opening event. Location is TBD.
